EVRYTHNG’s IoT Wishlist: A Really Smart Watch

December 12, 2014

The latest item on our IoT wishlist comes from David, a tech evangelist, developer, and EVRYTHNG blog reader who tweeted us his suggestion. He says: Smart watch, smartwatch

“There are lots of IoT watches out there, and I love watches, but so far, there isn’t a complete watch, for me.

I want a smart watch that looks smashing – so I can wear it anywhere, including while dressed up – that logs my activity and sleep accurately, and has multiple alarms and alarm modes. There are some of those out there today, but I want more! What more? Well, I’d like it to also replace my heart monitor sports watch, so I don’t have to change watches, or wear 2 (how dumb is that?). It should have GPS tracking for my outdoor activities, and be able to track more activity than just walking or running, like swimming, etc.

All of this should be logged to the internet, securely and safely stored, so that I can do my own analytics on the data or share it with my doctor if I need to. That’s a lot to ask for a simple watch, but I don’t think it’s too much to ask for, really, in this age of IoT.”

What would you add to our IoT wishlist? Tweet @EVRYTHNG and tell us!
