EVRYTHNG’s Web of Things Hackfest at London IOT Week

UK’s IOT enthusiasts invited to test their technical expertise at event held in conjunction with The European COMPOSE technology project

17th June, 2014 – London.

EVRYTHNG, the Web of Things software company that makes products smart by connecting them to the Web, and the European COMPOSE consortium are today hosting a three-day Hackfest as part of London IoT Week 2014.

At the event, IoT enthusiasts from across the country will pit their technical knowledge against each other to build a series of prototypes utilising Web of Things software. They will have access to the EVRYTHNG Engine, which provides high scale, industrial technology to serve millions of Active Digital Identities™ for all kinds of physical products.

The Hackfest is part of the European COMPOSE project in which EVRYTHNG is a key player, alongside other technology companies and organisations such as IBM and The World Wide Web Consortium (WC3), universities from across Europe, and the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre. The overall aim is to develop an open technical framework for Internet of Things applications and services to connect with each other, and making it fast and easy to bring them to market.

Vlad Trifa, Chief Product Officer at EVRYTHNG commented:  “This event will be another important milestone for the COMPOSE EU project – following on from the Web of Things Hackathon held in Zurich last September. It’s a further opportunity to share the EVRYTHNG Engine with some of the UK’s most promising IOT developers, alongside core partners like IBM and WC3. We can’t wait to see the results by the end of the week!”.
